The Examination Board of the School of Business and Economics is responsible for all matters and decisions concerning the examination system, the organisation of the examinations, the preparation of the report to the School on the development of the examinations and the study periods and for the other tasks assigned by the examination regulations. In addition, it develops proposals for the reform of the examination regulations.

The Central Examination Office assists the Examination Board in carrying out these tasks; requests to the Examination Board are to be submitted there.

The Examination Board is an authority within the meaning of the Verwaltungsverfahrensgesetz NRW (Administrative Procedure Act NRW) and the Verwaltungsgerichtsordnung (Administrative Court Rules).

The members of the Joint Examination Board are elected by the Schumpeter School Board. The tasks of the different Examination Boards of the individual degree programmes of the Schumpeter School of Business and Economics have been transferred to one Joint Examination Board by the Schumpeter School Board. In addition to the chairperson of the examination board and his or her deputy, two further representatives of the group of university professors, one representative of the group of academic employees, two representatives of the group of students as well as one employee of the administrativ staff belong to the joint examination board.
